Which event are you registering for?

Steel City Mega Pet Expo – 501(c)(3) Rescue & Nonprofit Policy

We are proud to support the animal rescue community at the Steel City Mega Pet Expo. For this event, JACE Group Events will pay the registration fees for any 501(c)(3) pet-related business or rescue that registers to exhibit.

Booth Space for 501(c)(3) Exhibitors

There is no preset limit on booth space for qualifying 501(c)(3) pet-related exhibitors.
We ask that you only request the amount of space you can reasonably use.
If we observe that your space is not being used effectively, we reserve the right to reduce your booth size so that space can be reallocated.
At least 70% of your booth space must be dedicated directly to the rescue mission — including animals available for adoption, adoption profile displays, informational materials, photo boards, meet-and-greet areas, or other content directly related to rescuing pets.

Sales & Fundraising Rules for 501(c)(3) Rescues

501(c)(3) rescues are permitted to sell products at the event as long as the sales are for raising funds for the rescue.
501(c)(3) rescues are not permitted to sell primarily for personal or outside profit unless 70% or more of all proceeds go directly to the rescue.
Example: If you sell a bag of dog treats for $10.00, at least $7.00 must go to the rescue.
We are willing to work with reasonable fundraising requests, as long as they align with the spirit of these rules.

Animal Care & Stress Management

All dogs brought to the event must be cycled out every 3 to 4 hours to reduce stress, ensure proper rest, and minimize overstimulation from the crowds and other animals.
Exhibitors are responsible for maintaining a safe, comfortable, and humane environment for all animals under their care throughout the entire event.

Purpose of This Policy

The goal of this policy is to prevent abuse of free rescue space. It is specifically intended to stop situations where a friend or associate of a rescue receives free space under the rescue’s name and then uses that space primarily to make personal profit. Our priority is to ensure that the free booths directly benefit legitimate 501(c)(3) rescues and pet-related nonprofits and that all animals on site are treated safely, humanely, and respectfully at all times.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, by continuing this registration, you agree to these additional terms.
