About the Pittsburgh Mega Reptile Expo
The Pittsburgh Mega Reptile Expo was founded in 2021 with a simple mission: to create a professionally organized event where reptile enthusiasts, families, breeders, educators, and vendors could come together to celebrate the fascinating world of reptiles and exotic animals.
Held twice each year at the Monroeville Convention Center, the Expo welcomes thousands of visitors from across Pennsylvania and the surrounding region. Whether you’re purchasing your first reptile, expanding your collection, or simply looking to learn more about these incredible animals, you’ll find a welcoming environment focused on education, responsible pet ownership, and community.
Visitors can explore a wide variety of reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, feeders, habitats, supplies, and specialty products while speaking directly with knowledgeable breeders and exhibitors who are passionate about the animals they raise. We believe that education is just as important as the animals themselves, and our exhibitors are always happy to answer questions and share their experience.
Since opening our doors, the Pittsburgh Mega Reptile Expo has welcomed more than 25,000 attendees and has helped raise over $28,000 to support animal welfare and emergency care efforts. We’re proud of the community that has grown around the Expo and grateful for the exhibitors, volunteers, and visitors who continue to make each event possible.
Our goal has never been simply to host another reptile show. We strive to provide a clean, organized, and enjoyable experience where families, hobbyists, and experienced keepers alike can discover new species, learn from experts, and connect with others who share their passion for reptiles and exotic animals.
